Fuel Management

We offer an all in one package in supplying our customers with a complete fuel management solution. We can deliver competitive fuel as way of either topping up your generators on site when required (Minimum fuel amounts apply), or supplying fuel bowsers for a direct external fuel tank supply. Competitive, minimal stress, prompt & reliable!

External fuel tanks:

External fuel tanks can be supplied together with your generator either with or without fuel to keep your generator running for as long as the project requires and with minimal effort. External fuel tanks can also remain in position and can be topped up when required (see below re mobile refuelling).

Mobile refuelling:

Mobile refuelling offers a more flexible source of fuel where a small 200 litre top up is enough to see you through or a 1000 litre top up for your external fuel tank. This can solution can be used for both short and long term rentals and are quite popular for customers of ours where security is a concern and you feel it safer to have us regularly top up oppose to leaving a fuel tank on site.

Proud to be using GTL Fuel (Gas-to-Liquid)

As a growing concern for the environment Prompt power solutions are conscious of the environment and keen to minimise our carbon footprint where possible, which is why we’re excited and proud to offer the latest technology in fuel…‘GTL’ (Gas-to-Liquid) fuel which is an alternative diesel fuel derived from natural gas, which burns more cleanly minimising emissions by up to 90%!

GTL (Gas-To-Liquid) fuel is a cleaner burning diesel alternative to conventional diesel that can be used in both on road and off-road applications. Clear, bright, and almost water-like in appearance, GTL fuel produces no characteristic ‘diesel’ odour due to a lack of sulphur and aromatics.

GTL Fuel is part of the paraffinic family of fuels and complies with EN15940 standards. A synthetic fuel produced from natural gas using the Fischer-Tropsch process, its improved combustion properties help to reduce emissions of regulated pollutants and improve local air quality.

Benefits of using GTL Fuel

GTL Fuel Emissions

Why Choose GTL Fuel?

Reduction in harmful emissions

Breathing in polluted air is known to have potential links to health problems, including respiratory illnesses. Air pollution is a key concern for those working around engines and communities affected by poor air quality. One of the major benefits of using GTL Fuel is the reduction in emissions of regulated pollutants:

Reduced harmful emissions -37% & NOx emissions -50%

Drop in & Go

The fuel can be used as a direct replacement for conventional diesel fuels in heavy-duty and light-duty engines. So there’s no need for engine modifications, new infrastructure or vehicle investment.

Biodegradable & Non-toxic

GTL Fuel is proven to be less harmful to the environment, with tests showing that it can be classified as ‘readily biodegradable’ and non-toxic. In fact, GTL Fuel was not detectable in soil 51 days after being introduced. The fuel is also more benign to human health than conventional diesel – it is harmless if inhaled and poses a low risk of eye irritation and skin damage.

Reduced noise pollution

Getting too loud? Noise levels in some engines can be reduced by 1-4 dB with GTL Fuel’s more uniform combustion. The high cetane number of the fuel shortens the ignition delay, reducing diesel knock intensity and combustion noise in both heavy-duty and light-duty diesel engines.

Store safer for longer

With no bio content and a CFPP below -20°C, Shell GTL Fuel has a longer shelf life than conventional diesel. It also offers safer handling and storage characteristics due to a higher flash point.
